Warren County/Front Royal Market Report –3/26/13

The Market in Front Royal,VA is really picking up! The sales volume has increased by 14% from this time last year! The average sold price is up 6.24%, and the average amount of time in which to sell a property has dropped from 106 days on market to 80 days.

Warren County and the quaint town of Front Royal is a very desirable location for first time home buyers, we are continuing to see a lot of first timers enter the marketplace here. There are loan programs being offered that allow qualified home buyers to purchase with little to no money down! The interest rates are historically low, so Buyers are realizing that purchasing in many cases will cost them less than renting!

The average sales price for a detached home in Warren County is $165,652 which is up 5.7% from this time last year, but it is still very affordable!  The commute to Northern Virginia areas such as Reston, Herndon & Tysons is just one hour on Rt.66. There are many commuter lots in Warren County that are filling up every day as more Buyers are discovering the beauty and affordability of living in the Shenandoah Valley.

Front Royal is not only the canoe capital of Virginia, it is an historical town with many Civil War attractions. The Historic Downtown area also gives you a choice of ten different Restaurants, a Movie Theater, Art Galleries and Antique Shops. There are many festivals, farmers markets and concerts throughout the year in the town.
