As soon as you crest the Blue Ridge Mountains into Clarke County you will know why Clarke County is referred to as the oasis. At the foot of the mountain is the Shenandoah River and beyond this famed American river are miles of gently rolling hills. Clarke provides not only scenic beauty but hiking on the Appalachian Trail, fishing, canoeing, rafting, and kayaking on the Shenandoah River. It is a great place to purchase a home!
